On April 17, 2026, the M. M. Magomayev Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic hosted a composer’s evening featuring Gennady Rovner. The event included the world premiere of “Anabasis” — a concerto for piano, string quartet, and orchestra — as well as the performance of the cycle of nine symphonic novellas “Metamorphoses”.
The performance was presented by the U. Hajibeyli Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Fuad Ibrahimov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The piano part was performed by Murad Adygezal Zade, People’s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
